The 2025 Château Pontet-Canet is an exceptional and beautifully refined expression of Pauillac, combining impressive concentration with remarkable freshness, purity and elegance. Produced according to the estate’s biodynamic philosophy, the 2025 stands out for its seamless texture and unusually polished structure. Crafted from 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the wine combines classic Pauillac character with a seductive, almost velvety personality. The élevage uses 50% new oak barrels, 35% amphorae and 15% one-year-old barrels, preserving both freshness and fruit purity.

Tasting Profile

On the nose, expect expressive aromas of cassis, blackberry, wild berries and ripe plum, complemented by beautiful floral notes of violet and iris, along with graphite, gravel, crushed stone and subtle smoky nuances. The palate is medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, yet remarkably elegant, with ripe, silky tannins and beautifully integrated acidity. Layers of dark fruit are balanced by mineral freshness and floral lift, leading to a long, precise and penetrating finish. Despite its depth, the wine remains graceful and vibrant, with exceptional balance and finesse.
