The 2025 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron is a powerful, Cabernet-driven expression of Pauillac, combining impressive concentration with remarkable freshness, precision and classical structure. With exceptionally low yields of around 24 hl/ha, the vintage produced small quantities of deeply concentrated fruit. Crafted from 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot, the wine shows the château’s characteristic authority and depth while maintaining the elegance and energy that define the finest 2025s. Ageing is expected to take place for around 18 months in French oak, approximately 70% new.

Tasting Profile

On the nose, expect intense aromas of cassis, blackcurrant, blueberry and dark wild berries, complemented by notes of violets, graphite, pencil shavings, crushed stone, liquorice and subtle spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, dense and layered, with a generous core of ripe dark fruit surrounded by finely structured, creamy tannins. Despite its concentration, the wine retains excellent freshness and mineral tension. The finish is long, polished and persistent, combining classic Pauillac structure with a refined, almost voluptuous texture.
