The 2025 Château Mouton Rothschild is a monumental and exceptionally Cabernet-driven expression of Pauillac, combining immense concentration with remarkable precision, freshness and refinement. With 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and just 2% Merlot, the 2025 represents the highest proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon ever used in the Grand Vin in recent memory. The exceptionally small Cabernet berries contributed extraordinary intensity and structure, while the wine retains the flamboyant richness and luxurious texture that define Mouton Rothschild. Powerful, sophisticated and built for decades of ageing, it stands among the most highly rated wines of the 2025 Bordeaux vintage.

Tasting Profile

On the nose, expect captivating aromas of crème de cassis, blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant, complemented by layers of violet, graphite, cedar, cigar box, smoky tobacco, espresso and dark chocolate. Floral and mineral nuances add further complexity. The palate is full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with an impressive core of dark fruit framed by exceptionally fine, silky tannins. Despite its considerable power, the wine displays outstanding freshness, precision and balance, leading to an extraordinarily long, structured and mineral-driven finish.
