The 2025 Château Montrose is a profound and classically structured expression of Saint-Estèphe, combining remarkable power and concentration with exceptional freshness, precision and elegance. Produced exclusively from the estate’s historic core on the prestigious fourth terrace, the wine captures the unmistakable character of Montrose while displaying extraordinary purity and balance. Crafted from 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, it is dense and muscular yet beautifully refined, with superb tannin quality and outstanding ageing potential.

Tasting Profile

On the nose, expect intense aromas of cassis, blackberry and dark berries, complemented by violets, graphite, black truffle, burning embers and subtle spicy oak. The palate is full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a deep core of pure dark fruit framed by ripe, polished and beautifully integrated tannins. Despite its impressive power, the wine retains exceptional freshness, mineral tension and precision. The finish is remarkably long and resonant, with lingering notes of graphite, dark fruit and a distinctive saline minerality.
