The 2025 Château La Lagune is a compelling reminder of why this historic Third Growth estate remains one of the Haut-Médoc’s best-value icons. Under the leadership of the Frey family, La Lagune has steadily refined its style towards greater precision, purity, and elegance. In 2025, the château has produced a wine that perfectly balances vibrant fruit, floral complexity, and refined structure, delivering one of the estate’s most charming and expressive recent vintages.

Tasting Profile

The nose opens with aromas of cassis, mulberries, black cherries, lilac, and violets, complemented by subtle notes of cedar, tobacco leaf, dried herbs, and crushed stones. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully textured, offering layers of fresh dark fruit, silky tannins, and vibrant acidity. Elegant and energetic throughout, the wine concludes with a long, floral, and finely mineral finish that reflects the estate’s increasingly precise winemaking style.
